This sub was professionally serviced and upgraded.
Alpha 1 uses nice Canadian-made power transformer and quality PCB board and connectors and most other parts,
however power supply capacitors are underrated Chinese capacitors; these were replaced with 50% higher values Japan-made caps,
to assue that you have rock solid performance and amp stability even at high volume.
Other than that upgrade, this sub was never blown or repaired and still pumps some serious oomph bass.
The clean ground-shaking bass output of this sub is the best I've heard for a midrange subwoofer, easily that of audiophile grade, comparable to Klipsch and Paradigm.
